Brussels Sprouts!!
Seriously!
I moved to the UK in early 2003. In a lot of ways it's a very similar places to Australia, but in other ways it's not. In the weeks leading up to my first Christmas there, I was fascinated to find that there were brussels sprouts everywhere. Supermarket catalogues were advertising them fresh, frozen, and even tarted up with chestnuts or bacon. I've never been a big fan of them myself so the fact that they were such an integral part of the English Christmas dinner was a big spin out. So the brussels sprout card is a tribute to the four years I spent in the UK and the limited green vegetables they have in winter (unless they're flown in from Spain or Israel out of season, which is *wrong*! )
Long live hardy winter veges!!

The Haçienda was a nightclub in Manchester, England, from 1982-1997.
It was opened by Tony Wilson of Factory Records and given the catalogue number FAC 51.
It set the bar for clubs across Europe and was home to many influential bands, chief being New Order.

The illustration is done by Elliot Eastwick and was hung in the entryway of the Urbis Hacienda exhibition.
