HISTORY

I have been online since 1994 when I should have been listening in my lectures at Manchester Metropolitan University. I have had a website of some sort since then and progressed to this blog in 2004.

I started off very slowly blogging every few weeks and now I blog every day. Sometimes I don’t have much to say and sometimes I have a lot (but don’t want to get fired from my job, so I keep my mouth shut).

SOFTWARE

I started blogging on Easyjournal but found it wasn’t so easy to customise. I tried blog-city for a few years and loved how easy it was for me to customise my blog but since they forced me to change my layout I moved over to Wordpress and have been with them ever since, they seem to be getting better and better.

Bits of my blog are powered by flickr, youtube, lastfm and del.icio.us. I am generally powered by tea (black, weak and one sugar) and hobnobs, they get me through the day.

I usually use Photoshop or Picasa to sooop up my photographs and use flickr to organise them into sets or onto my flickr map.

Just incase your wondering, I use iTunes to listen to and organise my music. You can take a nosey at what I have been listening to by looking at my lastfm profile, sorry if you don’t like Kylie, she is one of my favourites.

HARDWARE

I have a 14″ Compaq Presario V2000 laptop, which is ideal for my travels and moving around. My last two laptops have been Compaq’s and I really can’t fault them.

My photos are mostly taken with my Kodak EasyShare Z7590 Zoom and the rest with my a smaller compact Canon Digital IXUS 55 which I love carrying around everyday with me. Some older pictures were taken with a Sony DSC-V1, which is one of my favourite point and shoot cameras.

I listen to music at home on my third generation iPod with dock connector. I still think this was the best deal that Apple offered ever for iPods, with a nice case and the dock connector included. It’s getting old now and badly scratched, but I can’t part with it.

I also take some of my photos with my camera phone: currently a Motorola Pink RAZR V5.

The things I love in life are pretty simple…the rain, the cold side of a pillow, long drives (with people is fun but alone with my CDs is just bliss), Tight Arsed Tuesdays, my car Lateesha, my laptop, drinking cups of tea (English Breakfast), Scottish square sausage on Scottish bread with HP Sauce, my Dad’s Macaroni Cheese, my nephews, my tattoos…three in total - a pi (which I got in Melbourne with my two good friends Lou & Brydie), a star (which I got in Darwin) and a ladybird (which I got in Cozumel), my music and movie collection, British TV, making pasta, taking photographs, Burbon, Melbourne, gadgets, my friends and my family.

I am thirty years old and I am a Leo. I do not follow horoscopes, they always seem wrong! Maybe it’s just me thats wrong!

WHERE

I spent most of last year living in Doha, Qatar working for the 2006 Asian Games. I was living in a red white and black tent and went to work each day on the back of my Camel…she was called Kylie. My home turf is Didsbury, Manchester (it has the best pubs EVER) but I haven’t lived there for a long time. In January I headed back to Melbourne to start a 2 year Patisserie Course.

My family are originally from Glasgow, Scotland. As a child I was dragged around every battlefield & loch we could fit in during School Holidays. I think Scotland is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
