Welcome! This site is a result of five years of research and focuses on my ancestors, those of my wife and the various associated families connected to our Ellis family. There are over 4,000 names in this family tree. Our ancestral lines are from Ireland, Scotland and England and the earliest recorded event is the birth of Richard Tatters, c.1680.

Data was collected through direct conversations with members of the family, correspondence, documents and the internet. I will be updating this site as my research progresses and we continue to find, and be found by, relatives whose data we add. This growth and our documentation here, ensures the preservation of our extended family history.
